barnacles!!
i have barnacles all over my back glass and rocks. I was told these are not harmful. Is this true? Is there a way to get rid of them? Not only do i not like the way they look, but when i use my mag cleaner they get stuck in between it and the glass and im afraid they will scratch it.

Barnacles? I don't think this is what you have. Can you get a pic?

Yeah, I've never seen barnacles reproduce in a tank. Maybe small tubeworms?

can't get a pic right now. I only call them barnicles b/c the guy a a lfs has the same thing and thats what he called them. (very possible he doesn't know what he is talking about) They range in size from like a grain of salt to the size of the tip of a ball point ink pen. They almost look like they curve around like a snail shell and they have something coming out of them almost like a feather duster.
