Need Fish Out of My Tank Now! Please Help.

How in the world can I get this Sailfin Tang out of my tank without taking everything out or draining it. I just thougt I would ask to see if anybody had any good ideas.

Agree. Get a small fish hook (the kind made for tying flies). Use his favorite food bait.

make sure it isnt barbed....

You know, it's not so bad to do an occassional drain and disassembly, it's a great opportunity to rework the rocks and do some deep spring cleaning. Just make sure to make up LOTS of extra salt water as most of what you siphon out after removing the rocks will be very muddy.

I took a two liter bottle, cut the top off, put food in and grabbed the bottle once the culprit was inside. worked for me.

build or buy a fish trap, do a search in the advance forum and you will see many different ways to catch a fish. I buit one of those and caught all of the damsel out of my 180 gal reef tank .... or you can also wait until after the light go out for couple hours and then turn the light on, this will blind the fishes and you can catch it easier
