Need info on importing fish to canada

I need to find out the proceidure to import a non endangered fish to Canada. Im not sure if im going to need a cities permit anyway or if I can just buy this little guy a plane ticket and just do it?

Has anybody dealt with this?

Thank you for your help.

You don't need cities for fish, but I don't think you will find many dealers who are willing to ship accross the border any longer.

Thank you.
So if I find one who IS willing to ship then I can go for it no worries? Are there any hassles with customs?

I don't sell or ship livestock or anything related to aquaria, but ship other goods to Canada all the time (about 5 shipments a week). About 25-40% end up having some sort of custom issue, whether it be difference in the declared value and the customs value or something else, but they seem to go through spurts of being picky and then not picky at all. Either way all packaes seem to eventually make it, just depends on if there is a delay or not (hopefully not with livestock). Not sure with livestock, but I would think it may be even a little more so with livestock than regular goods.
