Excellent work! What are you supplementing with? Again, gorgeous corals and impressive FTS; top notch all around!

Oldude- Amazing pictures! I am very impressed by your tank. Out of curiosity, do you know the model number of your camera? I have been in the market for a new digital, and I really like the pics coming from your camera.

You're very kind, thanks very much. I use Polyp-Labs "Reef-resh" system.

I'll take some more updated photos when I get a chance but for now here's a reflective side view shot I took about the tail end of October. Thanks for the interest.

chetm2........Thanks, yeah kind of on the freaky side I guess but it gives a straight on side & birds eye view in one shot.

johnanddawn...........Thank you as well. I started using "reef-resh" last Jan 07.

No more pictures!!!! You're making me depressed by the great looking tank you have. No actually keep the pictures coming.

I do have a couple of questions for you.

1. Do you think much of your tanks success is due to the Polyp Lab products? I think it is a system similar to Prodibio products.

2. Tell us about your lighting as I'm always interested in that.

drouner .......Sorry for the long story to follow.
Yes I believe Polyp-labs "reef-resh" is along the same lines from what I have heard but I don't really know much about Prodibio. I had a lot of problems this summer when first my skimmer broke (down for 8 weeks) and then our dishwaher drain hose leaked and was dripping through the floor above into the tank for an undertermined amount of time. I lost several corals and what didn't completely brown out, bleached out. My tank is still in recovery but bouncing back nicely. I think if I had not been using the "reef-resh" at the time my tank would have been far worse with a much nastier algae outbreak. After I discovered the DW leak I did seven 15% water changes in 8 days and ran a lot of extra carbon. In the past year there has been one crisis after another so I can't say for sure what benefits are caused by the dosing and what is coincidence. I have a few corals that are still brown so I recently started dosing extra potassium and KZ "sponge power" to help things improve which seems to be working. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
My lighting is an "Aqua Medic" 72" (sexy light) hqi fixture with 5 bulbs. 2x150w 20k & 3x250w 10k "aqualine" bulbs. I also have an "Aqua Medic" 72" T5 fixture with 4x39w Fiji Purple KZ bulbs for extra light supplementation.
I hope I have been able to answer to your satisfaction. Thanks for the interest.

Greg......That was not along story.

How long have you been dosing KZ "Sponge Power"? From what I've read it takes about 3 weeks to kick in and you need to monitor the Ca after the first week.

I'm current running a Pheonix 14K lamp with FP as well. I'm thinking about switching over to a 10K and keeping the FP and maybe adding a T5 bluer lamp.

drouner........ Actually I just started SP a few week ago but so far - so good. I have been keeping a close eye on the ca as I do expect an increased consumption.
