metalic green mushroom sick?

I have a metalic green frilly mushroom that has been doing very well it is about 4" in diameter it is close to a colt coral and a toadstool leather. All have been doing fine but today I noticed a hole in the center of the mushroom the size of a penny. You can see all the way through to the live rock beneeth it and it is whith inside. Is there a problem? is it sick or being attacked? or is it just normal, maybe dividing or something?

Any ideas or comments!

Mine did the same thing, except I knew what happened: My large conch knocked over the rock my green slimer was attached to, and the slimer poked the frilly right in the mouth, causing a gaping hole. It stayed that way for about a week, and a week after that, there were two perfectly complete mushrooms in its place!
