it does look like an acan in the picture, but they are the same size as the orange and pink ones that i have... i guess what i'm trying to say is that i'm not sure what these are, they are sized between micro, and acan lords, found alongside lords, where no micros. are found. and colored like the rainbow. only a few people have seen these and own these corals. any info. would be appreciated!

WARNING...WEAR PROTECTIVE SUNGLASSES WHEN VIEWING THE PICTURE BELOW.

This is my HOT PINK Micromussa. I have to actually turn up my chiller because this color is so HOT. It's actually hot pink and white, but the white is more tanslucent. This is definitely in the top two of my favorite morphs.

The picture was taken under 400W 20K XM lights too. I swear!

Thanks guys. You're the reason why my wife doesn't let people come over our house anymore to look at my tank. All this talk about killing for a frag and using an F-18 to kidnap my poor frag. I live in Los Angeles - it's already dangerous enough with the random freeway shooting, earthquakes, mud slide and wild fires. Now I have to worry about Amber Alerts for my Micro's too!

No, I call this one my Pink Panther. dadun..dadun..dadun, dadun dadun,dadun,dadanaaaaa....

right on =)

I don't think we took a pic of that one yet.

How far down is it under those 400w's?

Ours looks more like a translucent pink-purplish, prolly from our wimpy 175's. I can't wait to step up to 250's and see what these puppies look like =)

Stick 'um up Wayne! After I finish road raging I'm heading over to LA so start bagging my panther!

Fugu, what you have IMO are micros. There are many different types of micro amaks. Feeding habits differ and polyp sizes vary. Some of my micros have nickel polyp sizes while others are dimes. There are different species of micros from various locations/habitats, but one thing for sure is if you measure the corallites and the average diameter is under 8mm, it's a micro. Also you can tell the structure of corallites between micros and lords are different. So just kill off a few polyps and you can find out for sure!

Ok, after seeing all the nice micro pics under bluer lights, I've decided that next week I'm changing out all my 10K bulbs to 14K and 20K. So be forewarned, once I change out the bulbs, I'm going to join the micro pics crusade!

hehe, blastoman is olde skool =)

I'm all about the 20K's, it also helps to go one wattage higher since they have such a low par.

I'm bumping up to 250's cuz my 175's are sooooo dim

hehe....blasto you definitely need to change the bulbs. I use to think 14 & 20k were cheating but the color is crazy. You will spend even more time looking at the tank.

clownfish looking good!!!

Alright Fugu......get ready for this one....hehe, I call it "doughnutz"
