Cool angel! Is it yours? How much did you pay for it? It actually looks like a asfur/koran hybrid!

Irregular, loosely spaced dark scales on forehead, and the yellow patch is too far back for an asfur.

I agree with the mac/Koran Hybrid just doesnt have the Asfur look to it plus the super long stramers seem to be most common on macs.

No, it belongs to a person I have been talking to in Japan named jan-one. He asked what it was. I guessed it was a blue angel, but you guys are saying different. This is his FO tank.

Wow, nice looking fish. I agree with the koran/mac hybrid ID. That guy has some seriously nice fish and corals.

wow, the price tag of just 4 of the fish in his FO tank, is well over $4000, the 3 Chaetodon daeldama, Wrought Iron Butterfly, and then the Conspic Angel trailing right behind them. Almost makes we wish i lived in japan.

Its a maculosus x semicirculatus, didnt know that Japan is interested in this fish.
HKG is the main market for this fish in insane prices.
Its coming from Kenya.

Correction on the location, I said Japan when in fact he is in Hong Kong. My mistake.

I think Vili is right on with Kenya as the location of those mac/koran hybrids, their ranges overlap there.
