Hitchhicker coral ID
well i think this might be an SPS since it's encrusting on one of my live rocks, it just kinda just popped outta nowhere and started to grow on one of my rocks. it has little polyps that extend out about 3mm or 4mm from the base, and when it's spooked it pulls back into it'self. it's also growing in little circle patches
hoping to get an ID on this so i can start caring for it. cant get much better pics because the coral is still pretty small. i have about 4 or 5 patches of them now. |

Looks like a developing Goniopora or Flowerpot Coral (LPS)

Still much to young to be sure, but could be a Porites or Goniopora. Porites is very common on live rock. From my own experience, they tend to die off as the tank/rock matures. I get the feeling they want something that my tanks don't contain. Take notes on water quality and see how they do.
