drilling an oceanic tank
just bought a used oceanic 55 gallon.
just wondering, if it can be drilled. anyone know? I did contact oceanic, and they said they didn't know. |

Wow...I don't know if it's just the way the name sounds, but I remember coming into this hobby 3 years ago thinking Oceanic was a reputable company.
To answer your question, you can drill any pane except the bottom pane. It's tempered on most tanks, and tempered glass cannot be drilled (it will crack into a million little squares).

I thought Oceanic was bought out by All Glass a number of years ago.

The sides and back would be ok but the bottom is tempered glass!!!!!
