changing lighting
i am running 2-250 watt 20k radiums that are about 1 year old, 2 110 watt super actinic vhos and a normal reflector.... i am going to go to 2 400 watt radiums(with coralvue ballasts) and bump it up to run 2 110 watt super actinics and 2 110 watt actinic whites vhos.....
now my question is when i do this is there a way to aclimate all of my corals without having to move them down..... please help... thanks shane

use window screening sheets, start with 3 or so and take one off every week, or start your fixtures out high, and lower them every week or so a few inches till they get to their final places./ either works well.......

would egg crate work instead..... if not where can i get it cheap?

No it won't work. It does not provide the "shade" needed. Screen can be picked up at any hardware store and is usually really cheap. Much cheaper than egg crate.
