whats a good schooling fish

hello i would like to know a good schooling fish for my tank its a 75g

blue eyed cardinals.
or so i've heard, never kept them myself. I'd like to give them a try though...just dont see any around.

i know cardnials school, but i also heard they like to hide? would they hide if they were schooling?

Eventually, once they are settled in, IME, anthias don't really "school" or even shoal for that matter. They interact...occassionally hang out. That's about it. Depends on the species too. My flame anthias (closely related to dispar) definitely hang together more often than lyretails or bartletts.

I have heard that Chromis school, but then they start to pick each other off until there is one left or so I have heard.

I have 7 chromis right now, i added 3 at first, then 4, and so fr he seem to be all getting along, theirs the occasional one will chase the other from side of the tank to the other, but thats it.

Longspine cardinal fish are good schoolers and reefsafe. If I ever get my 180 going I want to get some of these

i was thinking either pj cardnials or blue chromis. i like how the pjs look better, but i heard that the blues will be better schoolers

any "school" of fish is going to take up alot of room in a 75. I know that in order to really get the schooling behavior in a freshwater tank it helps to add a big fish that the tetras, for example, percieve as a threat. even with that said, the behavior tends to lessen with time as the fish become less concerned with the big fish. I think you would need a bigger tank to get the effect your looking for. JMO.
