125 plumbing

My first question is, after you have the 2 holes drilled in the back of the tank, all you have to do is put in bulkheads with strainers and run pvc down to a sump? I have the return figured out but after reading some post it seems like you need to do more than what I described above.

Also I noticed that at the LFS they have the bulkheads with strainers about 1 inch below the water level. Is this correct? and how do you get the water to stay above the bulkheads one you fill the tank? I figure with the holes a inch below the water line if the power was to go out the most that could drain into the sump is the amout above the holes.

Please explain the best way to plum this tank before I get it drilled. Thanks

where the hole is drilled for the drain, will be the water line. if you use an elbow you can adjust the level. but the straner will not be under water. these might help. http://www.hangarspace.co.uk/chrisre...p_plumbing.htm
