Macros - gotta love 'em.
Look at this shot. Those spikes that come out from within the coral during feedings are actually attached to the section of tissue each bubble is upon. For some reason I figured they came out of the core.

I think that your first pic of the bubble coral is by far the best.
I have to tell you though, the rest seem just the tiniest touch blurry.

That isn't a frogspawn, it is a type of bubble coral I've not seen before.

Thats a really nice looking bubble, I've never seen that color combo before. How big is the colony?..........Great photos by the way..

It is around 3 to 4" wide. When I bought it, I thought it looked like a giant ricordia. Here's a picture from last November.

I have a big relative of your bubble! I always joked about it not being able to decide if it was a pink bubble or a green bubble. Here's a couple of shots that also show the "bubble tails". Cool stuff!!

aztbs - great shots! What size are those bubbles? The one I have they are maybe 1/4" to 3/8" in diameter.

Do you mean the very first picture of this thread? That is pocillopora.
The most recent pictures are of Montipora capricornis.
