That is one expensive collection of fish, I hope they all take well to the tank. It will be quite the sight to have them all swimming around.

6X2X3 high, not sure on corals yet - may just go with a traditional mix of softies/LPS and some SPS on top.........to be honest i am more a fish person than corals. As long as the corals look pretty i'm happy!

I'd rater build a collection of rare/unusual fish than SPS.

I love your way of thinking! I like the corals too...but I like a lot of movement and nice colors...Those are what people who come over and look at! Not the SPS! Post pics of when this tank is done...I'd love to see what else you find!

cant really get a pic of 3 as the other two are in seperate area of the sump in case there is aggression - bit fiddly to photo those sections as the tanks are insulated (sump room is outside the house) so no glass to take pics through.

Very cool!!! How are your gems doing now? What made you decide to split the group up in one single and one 'pair'?

I ask this, because I toy with the idea of adding another gem tang to my tank. I have given other fish partners as well, and was quite succesful with my yellow tang, my flame angel, my regal angel and some more fish. The second gem tang is on my wish list, but I am really interested in experiences of others!

Tanu,
you have to be very careful with adding another gemmatum.
They can kill each other especially when a new one is intro after awhile.

Tiggsy: any updates?

I'm about to add the second one. It is in a small holding tank which floats in the tank, it is already eating very well, the size is about 1.5" I think. I bought it a little bit more than a week ago, I will first let it gain strength and let it relax from the long trip. In the meanwhile I'm also trying to catch a tomini-tang which I think will be way too agressive to the newcomer. Probably it will be released somewhere in may.

Here some pictures

First, one of the gem tang I already have:

And here two of the new gem tang in it's temporary undercome
