LOL...

John, you probably have this chalice, but it's lost in the dozen or so other chalice-type corals you got.

john's just into everything. i bet he's got something unexpected like an amazing star polyp collection we don't know about w/ half a dozen types we've never seen.

here are some of my chalice-type corals...

Lavendar Oxypora sp.

Lavendar w/ Pink Mouths Oxypora sp.

Green Acanthastrea rotundoflora

Green Echinophyllia aspera

Red & Bright Pink Echinophyllia aspera *before fragging
(like the two in the nano... last pic on page 3)

i'll be bringing frags of the Lavendar Oxy & Pink Echino to the Enino swap in a few weeks.

marlooney you can give them to me and save the trouble of bringing them all the way to the frag swap, setting up, talking to people that seem interested and not knowing what they are getting.........
I will make it easy and painless!!!

let's not have a hissy fit.....they are called Echinophyllia, echinopora, oxypora, "challice", "hedgehog coral", money in the bank......whatever you call it, they are pretty cool.

it looks like to me that reefermadness needs to let that piece color up before they sell it, but I know someone will buy it.....they always do

IMO, not a good piece to start with. I'd rather spend the same amount of money on a much more colorful frag of other echino.

I think that piece has great potential. I think it is an echinophyllia. The hot pink one I have was brown when it came in too. I think that could turn into a pink, or red. But I know one thing. I've never seen a brown Echinophyllia that was in captivity for a while. They always turn into something.

Thanks, I have had these for some time now. The red is from Randy, the blue from another reefer. I did just get two others a small one from Tyree and one from John, I have had them a few months. I need to get some shots of them.

Frags are coming your way =).

Not sure if this is a mycedium yet or not but i picked it up because it has neon green mouths and i'm hoping it colors up nice.
