The New 126 Gal
Hey Guys here is the new 126 gal Braceless Lee-Mar Aquarium. The tank measures 48x30x19 and has a star-fire front pane.
The only thing that is bothering me at this point is bubbles in the black silicone i posted some pics for reference. besides for being a cosmetic issue do you think this will do anything the the structural integrity of the tank???? Hi Cam, what a beautiful tank!!! I would not worry about those bubbles but get more input. What was the price if you don't mind me asking? PM me if you want. Very very nice and around the size I am thinking about.

don't trust those bubbles in the seam, I had one before and with the tank filled up, I could see the bubble getting bigger each day. If you decide to keep it, make the the stand is level otherwise too much pressure on the seam can lead to problem.

The bubbles is no big deal on a 126 gal. tank

my tank was 200gal Visio and when I contacted the manufactor, they offer to replace it right away. If there is only a few, then no big deal but if you got a string of bubbles, once you fill it up you make sure to keep your eyes on those bubbles. Anyways, I got a new tank since I don't want to look at the seam and worry about it.
especially tank without bracing.

what the manufactor or you can do is putting another layer of silicone on the outside of the joins. Extra protection or atleast additional discount wouldn't hurt in this case.

Beautiful tank, the exact dimensions I want for my new tank set up in a month or two just that I would want it around 20-22 inches tall though. Still beautiful!

my tank is 7 months old, also use black silicone, I check mine in details, no bubbles, since this is a new tank, IMO, I suggest should contact the manufacture to protect your investment.
it's a beautiful tank with plenty space to play your scaping. 19" is also a good measurement for your hand to reach the bottom and for the lighting set up. |

I have a 10 year old LeeMar, and a 3 month old LeeMar. Both have a few bubbles, and have had zero problems. I do worry about the bubbles shown in your third picture, they almost connect in places and form a direct line for water to get out. The seal is only as good as it's weakest point. So I agree, you ought to have them look at it before you set it up. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and you spent a lot of money, so don't be shy and demand (politely and professionally) that they give you a tank that meets YOUR expectations.
Otherwise, that is one sexy tank, and will be stunning when you get it sorted out and set up. Congrats! PS: I like the Miami Vice blue background, I have that on one of mine. |

Yeah, they will. On my new tank, I had specified the eurobracing to be 1/4 inch below the top edge of the sides, so that splashed/dripped water would stay on the braces and not run down the front/sides of the tank. They made the braces flush, and they rebuilt it, no questions asked, before I even took delivery from my LFS.
