I do have pretty decent circulation in my tank. thanks

What kind of light do you have and how far from it. Also is it being blasted by your current?

Do you know which species you have? There are several varieties that all have slightly different care requirements. If it is showing any sign of growth than it is probably doing well. I turn off the pumps and throw some cyclopeaze in the tank and the coral would take to it right away.
