Mark - I have an identical setup (210 cherry red, mission stand and canopy w/ mega flow). Currently in the process of installing the plumbing. FYI - the canopy is a little short for my preference. Not much room for arranging rocks and corals once the MH + VHO are installed. As for plumbing, I decided to use both holes in both mega flows for drainage. Interested in how you setup yours.

I love mine, I don't have any thing in the tank yet, but we put it over a fellow reefer's 90 at a meeting last month. he has almost all SPS and the color was amazing.

the LED's are focused Light. so you need to measure it accordingly. there are many 250w owners with SPS, who love the light, and have seen growth. remember you can have 1000w halides over your tank, but if your water quality, and trace minerals are not where they need to be, no amount of light is going to get them to grow.

yes that is true. well see hopefully the light turns out to be realy good but the thing that sold us was you can touch the light and its cold. there is no heat given off to really get trapped in the canopy and heat up the tank

yeah, You can run them for hours, then walk up, and touch the unit, and the plexi shield and it's just a little warm. Just make sure you put holes on the side of the canopy for the fans. on set pulls air in, the other exhausts.
