Well I just got my Euro-Reef RS 135 Skimmer. Now I would like to upgrade my lights from PC to MH.

But in doing that I would need to get a new canopy and a chiller...so a lot of $$$

I would like to get a large Euro-Reef skimmer and a 280 gallon starphire tank like Melev.

scotmc, try the lightsout method: 3 day dark once a month.

I tried to PM you. Your box is full.
I have done that. It worked, but now it's back again. I set up a fuge with cheato. Has not be effective as of yet. It's been a week. I ran phosban with no results. I just run carbon, now. I have been removing it and doing 10% WC. I going to do 30% this week. I have zero phosphates. I am thinking my rocks are the source. I purchased dry rock. I did not do a good job at cleaning, since it was a new tank. I put a few rocks in a five gal bucket with chemclean, it did not do much. I am so glad I did not put this in my tank. Since, the tank is only 5months old, I hope this will pass. I wish they made something to kill this bacteria.

Can't believe it's full: I'm going to have to talk to tech about that. You do have to repeat the lights-out monthly for a while, and that will help your fuge work faster. You're probably quite right about the source...and right, too, that it will pass. They do make something to kill it [and sell it] but don't use it---it doesn't discriminate about your bacteria in your sand; best just fight it the way you are, and it WILL get solved without risking your sandbed. Every tank goes through a bit of it.

What do I wish for? Well.. I wish that the funds for my 300 gallon would get here sooner...

that and I wouldn't mind getting the other funds for my coral farm.

But if I was gonna say fish I wish my LFS would finally get some tank-raised dragonface pipefish in like he said he would months ago.

Besides getting a stereo for my Jeep b/c someone stole mine last week, I would like a new heater and a heater controller.

Ps: If you are reading this and you stole my stereo may you be boiled in your own pudding and a stake of holly through your heart.

I am fighting the same thing I have cut my feedings down to once a day lights out for 3 days even cover the tank with a dark towel so teh light from the livingroom windows doesn't get in. I have had this for 2 months now and it is getting worse I have even increased the flow etc it just isn't working so I am nuking it on Friday when I pick up my red slime remover.

they do make something that kills cyano...its some kind of antibiotic--i got some at my lfs to ensure my lightsout success. but you have to stop skimming--wow did it make a mess!

i want to decide on a fixture or canopy for my 75g, 2x150 or 250w 15k with 2 or 4 T5's actinic. remote e-ballasts.

AND i really want somebody to help me make an overflow out of black acrylic for my newly drilled tank...i need to build and glue that thing in so i can start cycling my sand...

2x TLF Reactors...one for Carbon and one for Phosban. I really can't think of anymore equipment I would need besides maybe a pH monitor...

I'll be getting a H&S A150 and SLS T5 this holiday. Since this is my first salt water tank I can see its gonna be x-mas for me for the next two months. Yeehaw. That and the crazy amount of info my brain is getting saturated with on this site. Aloha.

I would like to wake up Christmas morning to find my basement remodel finished, so that I could set up my new tank. Secondly, for a really big wish I would like a skimmer that holds over 100 gallons inside it's chamber.
