Where are you located?

CostCo near us only had that good of a price on them, I found out,
because of a PG&E (Pacific Gas and Electric) Instant Discount Rebate.

I bought mine from Home Depot and paid $30 for them. I have them on 2 of my fuges and they're great.

If you think about it, lots of people of PCs, fluorescents, or MH over their fuges, and those lights cost a lot more.

These lights are well worth the money and my chaeto loves them.

No luck at the local Costco today. They were offering instant rebates on the twist type bulbs so I bought a 6 pack for some fixtures in the house.

My luck with the LOA has been mixed. The first two I bought several years ago fried(ballast) within 1 month. When I finally drilled out the back of the housing of my last unit it has survived 2+ years. As an added bonus I have the 2 bulbs from the other units I bought when they were $10 a piece but I sure would like another unit.

I had one and was never as impressed as I thought I should be. It fried a capacitor on the ballast board within about six months, it was obvious which one it was so I found a similar one since it was a bastard, replaced it, and it worked quite a while longer. The lower wattage screw in PCs work just as well in a clip on fixture IMO.

I have never seen a 65Watt twist in bulb. (NOT a 65watt equivlent, but a true 65watt bulb)

And it's the intensisty of the light that makes this possible in two weeks... I don't think any screw in can do this.

Here's my fuge before and after the light in only 2 WEEKS!!!
BEFORE

AFTER 2 WEEKS

Here's my thread on my fuge when I added it
