Brine Shrimp Hatching

Is hatching brine shrimp worth it with my system? My fish and corals like brine shrimp. Is it a lot more healthy to feed live shrimp rather than frozen?

I have a 55 gallon with two clowns, two cleaner shrimp, and a goby. I also have 40 snails and 30 hermits.

I am considering the DIY hatchery with the 2-liter bottle. It seem really easy. I already have all of the components except for the eggs. My plan would be to hang it on the back of my 55 gallon tank (not in the tank). That way it would stay warm enough and they would get enough light.

Any thoughts on this subject?

I think its more of a fun thing to do vs real nutrition. Frozen brine are just as healthy as live brine. When you freeze a steak then thaw, cook, and eat it, is it that much less nutritious?

If you really get into this.. Look into phytoplankton hatcheries. It is a very similar project.

Phytoplankton sounds more interesting. I have been getting into sps lately and I want to be able to feed them properly. Is this food more appropriate for sps?
