side by side sump and display tank

I am wondering if this idea will work well or not. Here is the plan.

1. The two tanks are setup next to each other
2. Take 2 2-1/2" pvc in the form of a U that will have one end in one tank and one in the other. By filling the pipes with water I am creating an auto leveling between the tanks. (i think this is a water bridge or called something to that effect)
3. I am using a XP3 with the intake in one tank and the output in the other.

I think that this setup will be very simple and since I am using 2 pipes if one gets clogged by something I will not have a flood since I have the second pipe.

Additional flow will be provided in the display by PH's Tanks are 20L

In theory it should work just fine. You WILL have a flood if the siphone breaks for any reason.

There are several examples of this type of setup on the internet and here at RC.
