plumbing questions

here is a diagram (minus check valves, and ball valves) of the plans I had for plumbing new tank. the tank is a 58 gallon oceanic RR with built in overflow. I am going to use a Durso stand pipe, and the oceanic return. the water will flow down into my 20 gallon sump, and into a mag 7, which feeds my nautilus skimmer. Water flows out of the skimmer, and over baffels, and is picked up by a mag 5, which is fed back to the tank. Ok now I have two other thoughs for returns... Do you think the mag 5 will be strong enough if I add a T in the return and run a line up the back, to feed two other return points. Or should I take and create an over the back closed loop system, where I have sch 40 elbows, that act as a intake, with a strainer, that flow to a third pump, and then returned back to the tank, and over the back and through a y fitting to create 4 new returns.... I know I will see the white pvc, but I would prefer to eliminate powerheads, and drilling the tank for close loop is not an option. ( wife is not to sure about the holes in the bottom as it is..) I would prefer the first scenario, but if I have to run pvc, that's fine.

here is a pic of the first scenario, and my tank setup.

any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,
Larry

Check what the maximum head of the pump is. You can use this link to calculate your head loss based on the lenght of pipe and the fittings you have.
