DIY lighting choices for BC 8 or other nanos?

Ok so I now have a delima. I want to change the lighting on my BC 8 to something along the lines of 14k lighting. I am currently using the standard PC bulbs that the fixture takes.

I did check nanocustoms but I really don't want to put out $360.00 for HQI kit considering that I have a new addition to the family. I am open to adding another PC unit if need be but I really want that 14k color.

What other lighting mods have you guys\gals done for your nanos?
