i usually buy all my dry goods/hardware from marinedepot. they're in anaheim so if you're in OC, you usually get the product delivered within a day. plus no tax if you order online. depending on how much you spend, it might be worth it to will call rather then ship. just keep in mind you'll have to pay for sales tax if you will call.

for livestock you can check out:

tong's tropical fish in fountain valley
coral oasis in irvine
pacific reef in fountain valley
jeff's exotic fish in costa mesa
eye candy aquarium in garden grove

i plan to check out amazing aquariums in orange this weekend. heard very good things about them...

I've shopped pretty much every LFS in the area. The best one IMO is Fish Collection in Placentia. Right on Yorba Linda Blvd and Rose Dr. He sells his corals to other LFS in the area.

oc fish stores

I've lived my entire life in oc and shopped at most of the fish stores you can think of. The best all around fish store that I have taken a liking too is Ocean Blue in Orange not too far from Ali's store. Large selection on corals and fish and tons of dry goods. The owner is a real nice guy. He doesn't try to cheat me and bullcrap his way into my wallet. Check him out.

i haven't been to Fish Collection, never even heard of them. I guess I'll swing by this weekend on my way to Amazing Reef.

I went to Ocean Blue about 2 months ago and they didn't have much to choose for salt water. mostly fresh water fish and plants. they only had 1 tank for corals and 3 for SW fish. o.O
they did have a bunch of rose anems at a decent price.

I always think that it's interesting when two folks post from the same computer in the same conversation. Especially when they're both promoting the same store.

Stuff that makes you go hmmmm..
