Tang dev lympocytis? in hypo?
Hi, hopefully someone can share some thoughts on what I'm seeing here????
I have a new chevron tang, it's been in Qt for about 8 weeks, and at 1.008-1.009 SG for 6 weeks as of this thursday (to be safe, never saw a spot or even rapid gilling). About 5 days ago I almost pooped my pants when I cam home and saw a whiteish spot above it's eye, near the top fin (looked like a big ICK spot at first). Over a few days, the spot first turned a little beige in color and then began to increase in size and shape. The area is clearly, but slightly, tan/beige/pale brown. It's clearly not a spot, it's a bumpy/odd shaped something growing. It's maybe 1x3mm now. Does this sound like lymphocytis starting? Any other ideas on what is if not that? Could it be something caused by some additional stress level because of the Hypo condition? (I'm framiliar with the idea that in some ways hypo lessens stress due to the reduced effort to respirate in hypo conditions) I'm assuming that in at least some way, being kept in water different from that what would be natural would in some way be a stressor??? Any suggestions about what I could do to treat/ID this would be much appreciated. (I'm planning on transitioning it back to normal SG starting thrusday) thanks jk
