maroon and perc pairs in one tank???

Not to ask a stupid question (as maroons are particularly aggressive clowns) but ...

What do you think the chances for success would be with; a maroon pair and a true perc pair with several bta's for hosting in a 120g?

I would think it would not work out but I wanted to look for others opinions.
I have the two pairs in my two systems now but I'm planning to consolidate into one tank. I don't want to give up either pair as I've had the females for 3 yrs + but I will need to do something.

Anybody think this could work out? There are 3 RBTA's and one GBTA. Both clown pairs host in RBTA's in their seperate tanks. The RBTA's are all splits originating from the same anemone (the one in the 120 has bubble tips, the others don't).

thanks for any input (even if it's, "yes this is a stipid question")

jk

I don't think I would try, Marroons are too mean, tha Ocellaris wouldn't have a chance if the Marroons went after them

What was just said, or even at same time, both pairs will be checkin out the new digs and likely leave eachother alone, they will claim territory away from one another, and should coexist just fine, im sure the occasional "chase" will happen when a red creeps into the orange turf or vice versa, but should work great

All I will say is that I tried it with maroons the first time I setup my 8' 300 gallon. Didn't work.

I have to falses in the 110. Theyre a small mated pair.. been in about 5 months. Then about 2 weeks ago, I added a small GSM clown.. it was about the same size as the falses percs. It took to its bubble tip 'nem' and doesnt bother the pair of clowns unless during feeding time.

Note. This does not mean then when the maroon grows up.. he will be as amiable as he is now.. but you never know.

I added two .5-.75" percs and a .5" gold stripe maroon at the same time to my 6' tank. There are 5 BTAs, but when these clowns reached 1.25-1.75" they decided they wanted to claim all of the anemones for themselves. The maroon was losing the battle and had a few nips in his fins. I figured I better separate them before things worsened. In short, it didnt work.
