phospahate filters

I'm looking for some input on the phosphate pads for red and hair algae. I wanted to know if they had any side effects anf if they would work inside my skimmer?

Algae pads

I don't believe they will work inside your skimmer. Gets some granule phosphate remover and put into a new/clean panty hose and put into your sump.
