Clearing out the 125 a bit

Hey guys I have a terrible aptaisia problem going on right now. Most of my corals are growing well and I need to thin em out. I can't find a Copperband locally to help with the aptasia so my plan is to frag off most of the corals I have and take rock out and "nuke" it. I just want to be left with small colonies. I will sell each frag for $10-$15 each and they will not be mounted. I will post pix later tonight of the tank. Barrett give me a call to discuss the hex tank and what frags you want in trade for it.

Jerry

I have more corals than these that I can frag

What kind of SPS is that in your gallery # 100_2916? Some sort of light purple acro? I'd be interested in a frag of that.

Also have you ever tried peppermint shrimp to try and control the aptasia? That is he only thing I ever tried and they always did the trick. The only problem with them is that they will eat certain zoas (yellow polyps to name one).

I have put 6 peppermint shrimp in the last couple of months. Problem is I never see em again LOL. I don't think they are dead, but I don't see a decline in aptaisia. If anyone has a Copperband let me know. Kermits said they have not been able to get them to eat once they get them and they die, so I don't know when I will be able to get one. I did order one from Foster's & Smith but it died the same day I got it.

There was a company at the frag swap Salty Underground they sell Berghia Nudibranchs for $19 + shipping. They have arrive alive guarantee. Im sure once your aptaisia problem is taken care of you could find someone else that needs them.

Ok guys I have started to sell frags.....it looks like I may be converting back to FW as I still don't see any end to the aptaisia. If I do sell all livestock, I already have a guy that wants first dibs on the fish. I also will have a green LTA and a Rose BTA. Someone was asking about did I want to sell it a while back. Maybe it was Barrett, hey man give me a call I could really use that hex tank. I got 2 more Crested Geckos last night and have a female coming hopefully soon and I may have to keep her seperated from the male if they fight. Any way the best way to reach me is via email:

Thanx

Ok folks it looks like I don't have a solution for the aptaisia. I am selling all livestock and rock. I already have a few things that are on hold. I would like to get things going pretty soon and empty the tank out so I can clean it and get it ready for FW. If anyone has any tanks that are kinda tall that would be good for geckos let me know as I will trade for that. Or anything in good condition for a planted Discus tank. First come first served LOL. Also let me know if something can go in the St. Jude tank. I want to find good homes for the fish so I ask that you have an appropiate sized tank for the tangs. Email is the best way to contact me as well as my cell 901-406-6457
I am also looking for a good UV sterilizer.

Jerry

Folks right now I am going to hold on taking down the tank for a bit longer and see if I can get this aptaisia under control. I will still sell some frags if anyone is still interested.
