I have a rose colored anemones

Hi,
I have a rose colored anemones that I would trade with you. It's approximately 2" in diameter.

Here's picture of the parent which is about 6" in diameter.

This is the 3rd time it has split.

The big green is spoken for I can't believe the response I have had them before anybody wanted them. Must be all the newer blood in the group.

yeah im kinda new to it but the anomone looks great and the clowns took to it within minutes! I am told it usually takes allot longer than that. It crawled under the rocks yesterday but the clowns are still loving it. Hope it is ok and comes out again.

Thanks again mike it was great meeting you and seeing your awesome setup!

I have two different types of anemone and my tomato clowns chose the RBTA. They don't wander to far from it. I am hoping that they spawn.
I have had my clowns beat anemones to death.

So this morning my coral banded shrimp was in peices under my anomone? I have been told that most likely the clowns killed it cause they are very protective. Or did the anomone kill it, i dunno anyone else ever had an issue with shrimp and anomones?

The rose colored anemone above has never attacked my banded nor my cleaner shrimp that make it a practice to steel food from the anemones that the tomato clowns bring to them. The don't seem to be affected by their sting.

I would agree; however, it is more likely that the clowns dismantled your banded shrimp. When I first put my banded shrimp in the tank, the female clown ripped a claw off as he scurried to hide in the rock.

I took this picture when my banded shrimp got too close to the anemone. The two clowns did not like it and he quickly backed away.

I was just getting ready to ask if your sure it just didn't molt! Trust me your not the only one to think your shrimp died due to a molt. My 2 cleaner shrimp molt about every 3 weeks on cue! But the first time I saw it happen I thought the same thing!

heh. i've gotten fooled by that before. sometimes there seems to be enough "parts" to look like the real thing. esp if it got sucked onto a powerhead or something.

You can trigger a molt in many crustacea with a simple temp change (like when I do a water change with cool RO water). Add this to the normal cycle of molts and they can come pretty fast.
