Where to buy Base sand Cheap?
Im looking to find a place to buy base sand cheap, without having to pay $50 for shipping. I found some on Mariunedepot but $56.00 for shipping is rediculous.
Since HomeDepot doesnt sell the Old Castle anymore. Im not going to pay $14.00 a bag from my LFS. where do you get your base sand from? |

As far as I know there aren't any aragonite sands to be had cheaply. Your best bet might be to find someone who has had their reef for a while who is getting rid of their sand and will sell it cheap.

I used river sand from a local mulch/gravel dealer. It's not aragonite but at least it's natural.

Drs. Foster and Smith has a cap on ground shipping of 17.99 and has several sands you can look at.
