Hey Mako, do you run Zeo or anything similar? Your colors are off the hook man. Beautiful.

Amazing coloration. Like a rainbow on acid. Now if you'll excuse me I have some food coloring in my kitchen cabinet I need to dump into my tank.

excellent pics of excellent corals

if i read your sig correctly, you run a lot of actinics... do you attribute any of your coloration to this. A lot of 10k-lit tanks have light coloration on the corals... yours doesnt....why i ask

regardless... whatever you are doing, keep it up!

Well I do run a ton of actinic if you read my sig: 4-60" VHO's and 8-24" VHO's all actinic's and all of them really close to the water. Its not a setting on my camera I shoot most shots on auto

I've been running the polyp labs system for last 3 months and I have seen better color from it

I certainty do, all of my tanks have always had a lot of actinic lighting and I wanted this tank to have the most. If I could fit it on the tank I would stick 4 more 60"ers lol

Yea if you click the red house and view my thread most of the first pictures of the tank were without actinic's or very little actinic as I was still building my light rack and hadn't recieved my VHO bulbs yet

Mako, much much better with less actinics. It was too purple and unnatural. I also use (and swear by) 10000K MH bulbs and like to compare color and growth. Did you find that you have much faster growth and bright coloration using these bulbs?
