Temperature Fluctuations

In the daytime my temperature runs about 79 degrees with my MH's on.

In the evening when I put my MH's on it gets to about 82 is that O.K.?

There is debate on this subject on how far is an "acceptable swing". I like a nice swing on mine, I have had better results, but keeping it from 75-82 area is a good area. I normally run around 77 degrees and it swings up to 80-81 in the day and I have seen it as low at 75.

My temperature will fluctuate between 75 and 86 throughout the year without any problems. Stability is the key, but is stable. 75 to 86 throughout the year.

My temp swings as well, I have mine set at 78, when the halides are on I see 82. Temp fluctuations are normal with certain types of lighting or where the tank might be in a certain room. I owuldnt worry unless the temp starts to go up or down drastically within a short period of time.

In nature temps swings happen daily when the sun comes up till it goes down.
