I love the derasas, but those maximas are sweet! I've been holding out for some nices ones locally, but ever since I've started looking for them they are no where to be found.

Here is my Deresa. 5 years old and 12" stem to stern.



Almost 1 year ago


And here it is in the tank about the same time as the 2nd photo. The tank is 6' for scale.

It really is blue. The first pic is very accurate in color.

Here it is during a spawning event.

Luckily there is only the one, and it did'nt trigger a mass pollution spawn.

BTW... I get my clams from Coral Oasis down here in irvine right next to John Wayne Airport. They get a nice assortment and have very fair prices.

The blue and green clams are both crocea, the big one is a deresa and the one on the rocks one deresa and one tear drop maxima .
