Thanks. Unfortunately, it isnt quite black. It is more like a dark blueish-brown, but it is pretty close to black. It is my first attempt at a clam, and so far he seems to be thriving after about 2-3 months.

Here is another pic to give you a truer sense of the color...and size.

Its my first clam (besides the fried ones from Cpt D's!). Under T5's.

I stole this image from a board in Singapore. I don't know who the owner of this tank is, but they get major props.

That sucks big time. Cory, I wish. Check out the thread. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/inde...pic=13750These are some of the nicest maximams I have ever seen. It seems like they are still getting the maximas we used to get 6-10 years ago that you never see anymore. It starts out kind of slow so bear with it.

Hello!
About Singapore Reef Club, there are some outstanding guys there, I'd like to take this oppurtunity and thank them again as accepting me as one of their own exactly one year ago!
Thank you guys!...
The pic with all the amazing Clams belongs to Roidan from Singapore, I met him last year, back then he sold all his clams...

Basicly Singapore reefers are looking at Reef Central and saying WOOW those are nice clams, the amazing Maximas they show there are back in early 2004, I dont think they are getting them now either, but maybe Singapore reefer like Roidan, Achilles Tang, Dispar ,Marine Betta or others who can let us know what is happening right now ?

Fishypets, sorry to hear about your Tear Drop Max...how long have you kept it for??
They are getting more rare now cause there's no more Clams imports from Solomon Isl.
