brush the LR?

After a couple month fighting with Brown algae, the algae is under control now, but LR is still brown. Can I bring them out of the water and brush them?

I am not sure, will i kill the 'live' rock by brushing them?

why not just make sure you've got the proper clean up crew? What all do you have for snails?

By "brown" do you mean that there is still algae growth on the rock?

You can take the rocks out to remove the algae, but you'll need to do it quickly to avoid die off on the rock. Think like a minute or two at a time for a given rock.

yes, that is a good idea to put the rock in a saltwater bucket and brush them.

I have 15 snails in there, they are lazy and did not eat too much. i think they do not want to stay in the fast water flow zone, that's why there is still algae stay on them.
