I used to have a pair that spawned (the female jumped out). I did some reading on what to do after they spawn and from what I found no one has had alot of luck raising the fry.

the problem is 1 year and the babbies are only marginally sellable. they are sloooo to grow. as for no one i know 1 person and 2 companies if your actually thinking of doing it, i have not spent the time to document things fully but if you ask ill try and answer
ive used several tanks for the parents a 37tall so far is the smallest ive had good luck in, modify the overflow so that it picks up water from down in the middle of the tank, use a large critter keeper attached to the top of the tank, and a 1/4" hose from the bottom of the critter keeper to the overflow so that it removes from the bottom of the critter keeper. ive tried many methods and currently thats the one i like. feed heavily and get your partents to take frozen / flake. setup a BIG pod tank and get massive amounts of pods you will need them.

How were you feeding the Fry with Rotifers or baby brine? did you keep the parents with the Fry or move either of them to another tank? where do the parents lay the eggs just anywhere in the tank a rock crevics/glass?
Thanks for that im going to try it out and see what i can do, with a lil luck. Anything is possible. Cheers Adam |

ok well where to start
they dont lay there eggs on anything they do a "dance" and while doing the dance the male and female do there thing. releasing eggs/sperm into the water column, both of these float on the top of the water. if it gets picked up by a pump, then well its gona be filter feeder food. at this point the collection needs to be removed from the aquaria and placed in a special container, search rc, you will find ive posted on this and so has one other guy(his nic starts with a D i think, if you search and can not find his posts let me know ill figure it out.) , in the other guy's posts you will find an egg stirer made out of legos, build that one. after hatching they will go to rots then baby brine, but then you need start adding pods lots of pods, did i mention a lot of pods.
