(Electrical Help) Ice Cap Digital Fan Sensors

My cats chewed and destroyed on of the temp sensor ends. Can I splice the sensor wires from both fans into one temp sensing probe or will there be a problem? Will they just run at full speed if the sensor is gone or not run at all?
