Oops! My New Kitten "Annie" Is A Boy

My spouse took our newly adopted stray kitten Annie to the vet today for her first exam. Her diagnoses included ear mites, fleas and gender confusion. It seems that Annie is actually a boy.

Obviously, retaining the name Annie is going to lead to all sorts of psychological issues later in life, so we need to rename him.

I'm open to suggestions for a new male name for our Ragdoll baby boy. And don't bother suggesting Andy, because the little woman doesn't like the name.

As a doctor I think you would have picked up on the gender thing.

As for a name, how about Carl?

I like the name "fuzzybutt". I tried to name my cream tabby persian that, but the little misses liked "Hercules" better.

I will be glad to represent you in a legal filing against the vet for the humiliation the cat suffered when all the vet techs laughed at him for having a "unit" so small that he was believed to be a girl.

Beerguy can be our star witness. His name was Charlotte until he was 13.

Hmmm....Pat, Kris, tony, andy. Somehow those are the only androgenous names that pop into my head at this time...

Annakin (as in Skywalker). Then you can keep Annie as the nickname.

I don't need androgynous names. I need good boy-cat names. All of my spouses, children, dogs, cats, snails, corals and clams have been female. I've never had to name a male creature.

Instead of Annie you could call him Arnie. Maybe your kitty will think he heard wrong the first week or 2.

I thought this was a very clever name, Mike, but the spousal unit says, "No way!"

Just what I always wanted my own little bunny rabbit, I will name him George and I will hug him, and pet him, and squeeze him, and pat him, and pet him and rub him and caress him
