Hmmm....maybe that explain's my ex's bad breath!

Seriously, those have got to be the cutest pics I've seen! Nothing like a pile of puppies to make you laugh. Poor momma dog. I can't imagine giving birth once, let alone nine times!

About 10 years ago, my parents had a stray dog show up and we took her in. She was pregnant, and rewarded us with 14 puppies! We were all amazed. Unfortunately, the mother dog died a week later (calcium depletion caused a brain hemmorhage), and my mom bottle fed 14 puppies.

I didn't know you could buy powdered dog's milk...it's called *itch milk! I didn't know that until one morning when I was drinking my coffee, and as I was on my third cup, I told my mom that I thought the milk might be spoiled. She responded that we were out of milk, except for that gallon of *itch milk she'd just mixed up that morning. Needless to say, I always check labels now.

Man I always loved puppy breath I always thought it was from nursing. Some truths aren't worth knowing.

What a great pic to look at to start an unlucky day! I learned two things already this AM. The puppy breath thing, and I NEVER knew you could get mixed coloured labs in the same litter. Too cool. I would love to lay on the floor with them when they are a few weeks older...... Buried in puppies!

That makes sense, come to think of it. When I nursed my (human) babies, they always had the sweetest breath. Puppy breath is pretty bad, even though all they drink is milk too (not mine though!).

Just wait till those puppies grow those razor sharp puppy teeth. That's when momma is really going to feel the pain. They'll be weaned double quick. Thanks for the pictures. It make me remember when I went to pick out my chocolate lab. She was five weeks old. My black lab came from the pound just after she weaned ten puppies, some adopted. Labs deserve their rep as one of the sweetest breeds. You'll never regret it if you get one.

I didn't know Sidney (the mom) was expecting until about three weeks ago. She is a beautiful dog--good hunter too!

Terry, if you buy a puppy, can I have that beauty of a cat? The one that changes to Animal Plantet: Mating Wild Cats by accident?

Haha, that pic in your avatar is gold.

Thanks for the kind words Dan! Cuddles was my baby (and lived up to her name), but died just over a year ago from Liver Fatty Disease (a little known but very serious cat disease). I miss her terribly. We replaced her but the new cat is a total spaz and is a one person cat--to my son. Thanks again for your kind words--she ruled the house--including my husband who hates cats, but loved her.

no, he isn't going for it yet. I have 7 weeks to keep at it. If all else fails, I will let Emma (my friend's daughter) work on him. She almost had him the other night I will fight dirty if I have too!
