yes I am a HUGE Gordon Lightfoot fan...

Seen him in concert twice and Plan on going again. yes he is the one and only edmond fitzgerald guy, lol but thats not even his best... My Favorite is Race Among the Ruins ..... "coming clean is just another state of mind"

I also saw Arlo Guthrie in concert (about 50 people in audience very intimate little session) and I will go again next time.

I missed out on Jim Croce But Love him as well.

go ahead and add Van Morrison to that list as well.

I saw Bob Dylan but wont go again, his concert really lacked energy. love his music hate his performance.

The eagles were awesome live. I saw them on The Hell Freezes Over tour.

Billy Joel and Elton John were good too.

They mix it up with a lot of old stuff. Off Powerslave, they usually play Aces High and Two Minutes to Midnight. You can count on hearing most of the "hits" at their concerts. They put on a great show, but I'd like to see em play those epic songs, like Seventh Son of a Seventh Son or Rhime of the Ancient Mariner.

Elton John had a concert in Reno a few years back and after a set all the lights went out and "piano man" started playing.... lights came back up and Elton John and Billy Joel were on stage together.... what a awesome suprise that was! Great concert!

Misfits and Lords of Acid are about the only two I will drop everything to go check out. That was before I moved up to Fairbanks.
I guess I would still see Slayer in a small venue at any cost but not in a large venue (anything over 4 or 5 grand and/or assigned seating.) I hate just watching a show, want to feel it and be part of it a bit. I will take a club show anyday.

I'll always go see:

Wilco (just saw them 3 weeks ago)

Clutch ( its like BoC meets Motorhead, except better)

Leonard Cohen

Jello Biafra

Henry Rollins

Psychic TV (I am coyote, I must attend)

Frank Black/The Pixies (yes that was me screaming on the Austin City Limits that aired last month, along with 6K other insane white people) Kim Diehl must be my wife... seriously <--- sucks being a guy-groupie & Not astoundingly attractive.

If Iron Maiden ever came to town I'd crap my pants.

Thera are so many other DOH! I Missed it bands bands that came through town in the past few months I cry about it.

Not from TX, but my cousin suprised me with some tickets to ASL when i visited her last year. The Pixies.. Reunion show.. Man that was heaven.

I went to Ozfest a few times & after they played Over the Mountain I'd leave. Along with half of the crowd, we weren't getting high in the parking lot, I swear.

Thanks guys, love Lambardo, has to be one of the best drummers going. I really like Patton when he doesn't get toooo far out there.
I think any project with Al Jourgensen would be worth dropping everything to check out. Maybe I should correct that last part, older Al and his last cd. He did put out some crap for a few cd's.
