Hello all,

Well, I'm going to take the plunge I am heading down to Cozumel with my g/f in May and plan to propose to her on the beach.....near the reefs lol

Now to my question, has anyone purchased a ring online? There is a site, bluenile.com, that has come with some good recommendations around the office. Just wondering if any of you all have had experiences with them or any other e-store.

i don't think i would feel safe ordering a diamond engagement ring online. but thats just me! lol Being a woman myself we think on these things differently than men.. lol I would want to see it and hold it in my hand to make sure it was the "right" ring for my future fiance. I have been more than happy with blue nile, and would reccomend them above any chain/local retailer I've worked with. PM me if you want more detailed info on my experience with them.

I understand where you are coming from, however being a man...holding a ring really won't do much for me. She has already stated that it is up to me to pick it out, within the given guidelines ( princess cut, platinum ).

Bluenile seems a tad on the expensive side. I'm sure that it's not much of an option for you but I've always found the best gem's and prices to be in the Caribbean (St. Thomas and Aruba in my experience).
