It happens. I call it the Kamikaze disease. It'll eat and eat but eventually shrivel up to nothing or fall off. The only remedy that I've found so far is to frag the loose polyp (if more than one) and sacrifice some from the mother, dip it and it'll cease. Otherwise, it'll spread.

Are the Acanthastrea Lordhowensis' that are mostly red, all red, and red with pink Indo's? I am dying to get one, but most are the green striped???

Also just so that everyone who has posted pics knows, your acans are Awesome!

I don't know which ones you're talking about. The first set of 3 pics are all Indos. Don't worry about their color or origin, they'll all color up real nicely after you've kept them awhile. They were all pretty bland when I first got them.

Chris, you have all the nice blastos. You should start another thread and show us all of your collection. We haven't had a blasto thread in a while I think.

Here's my avatar.

Here's the more recent pic of the colony.

Wow, Blastomussaman that's just sooooo nice...

Ok, I will hunt that color now.... : )

It's like black but purple with white right? Maybe little light green but it looks white to me.

Well.... no I think you have more nice blastos than I do....

I love the pics how you bring it's true color as well.

Love to rare color morph on any LPS : )
