I love the value of the BM250 and you have the perfect size setup to see the full potential of the skimmer.

If you're looking at Deltec, you want to consider H&S 250 and Bubbleking 300.

For me space isn't an issue, my budget is 1500$
H&S A250 and bubbleking much more expansive in my country.

Can you give the reason, why to choose the skimmers you recommended ?

skimmer suggestion

Before you buy a new skimmer you owe it to yourself to at least checkout a new product that getting rave reviews. It's called the Aerofoamer by Reef Concepts. It comes in several sizes and features ease of cleaning all internal surfaces, flow adjustment and has a very high effecience rating for getting the job done. It brings a whole new concept to the skimmer field.

good luck ,

hehe, sounds like someone that works for the company...........first post and he knows that it is getting rave reviews

hey look where the company is located! it just happens to be in his neck of the woods

Reef Concepts
722 O' Bryant Road
Reidsville, NC 27320-8506

could be a great skimmer, i just have never heard of one today and I'm in the RC skimmer forums everyday? They do look nice though........

You can "he he" at me all you want. I'm just trying to help with information I've gathered from visiting other web sites and reading what other people in the hobby are saying. I don't work for the company and so it's made in NC.

This my first post and I have to say that if this is the type of responses I can expect from this forum I may be in the wrong place looking for help, as I attempt to learn more about saltwater aquariums. Calabashman

I've seen the new style BM250 in action and am now purchasing it for my 270. I got to a LFS that uses them for their 300g coral display tank and was astounded at the foam and skimate that it produced in the 3 hrs i was in there. and I can find other ways to spend $2000 then on a single skimmer.

Even though I just picked up a BM200, I would go for the Reeflo, just to see what it can do!!! But then again, if I was going to spend that much on a system, why not go for a Volcano!!!

Both Aerofoamers and Volcano are not an option for me , since there is no importer of them in my country.

Another option that I can consider is the new Tunze Master DOC Skimmer (the model with 2 pumps)

Reeflo would kick the crap out of your tank, look at its rating compared to the others in the list.

ReefFlo will spank the others. Second, I would go Deltec 902. The 902 is a well made skimmer, but still, its no ReefFlo. The ReefFlo will compete with the likes of the Bubbleking deluxe 400-500 series. Bang for the buck, its hard to beat, because the body is made by Octopus/Shenzhen-Honya. Its a solid design though that will outdo most anything else on the market though.

Which country are you in?? A friend of mine I met here on RC lives in Ireland. Some vendors won't send things to him there, so he sends them to me first and I pass them on. PM me if you want help. I don't charge anything.

Actually, I have met three people this way. They send me items from their country and I do the same. I love pictures, books and literature from other country's first. Food and booze come in second. Sent some Levi's jeans to a friend in Iceland, of all places. Met him on another forum.

No, I m not going 2 purchase both of them, the bm250 will be tested in a local store & I m going to test the first Reeflo that will arrive to Israel next week & if it will give the expected results I will probably purchase it.
