Nem Help
Just got home from work had it looks like my stupid nem. got itself stuck inside my Hydor Koralia submersible pump. I unplugged the pump of course and the tentacles are all stuck inside the intake grill. It looks like the end for this guy...
Anyone know anything?? |

That's fairly typical for anemones. It might survive. I'd watch it closely, though, and remove it if it starts to decay. I use foam pads over pump inputs for this reason.

Mine done the same thing. I was able to gently pull it out of the grill with a little help from the anemone. He made a full recovery. I was lucky in the fact that it did not make into the blade part of the Maxi Jet 900.

ok thanks. Ive been watchin it for about 10 min and the nem was yanking on the pump but it still cannot free itself. I thought its friend, mr. nem crab, was tryin to help free it from the pump becasue it crawled over the part of the nem that is stuck. It looks like he's just feeding though... maybe the crab is tryin to help

The crab is feeding on anemone parts. That's how they survive, I think. The mishap has produced a banquet for him.
