AquaC Remora Pro w/ Mag7 in 55g, too much??

Im planning on running a Remora pro w/ a Mag7 on my 55g. Is this going to be too much protein skimming? Is there evening such thing as too much protein skimming? If so, would it be more beneficial for SPS or soft corals, because i plan on making a mixed tank. Thanks

YOu can skim to much but it rarely happens. Have you bought this skimmer yet?

If your going to get a hot skimmer and if your going to spend that much on one, get the bermuda hot. The remora isn't a good skimmer at all imo. Some will disagree but you will get 1cup of skimmate every other week. I get over 2cups a day from my skimmer for my 125g. I've had a remora pro with a mag 7 and i got 1 cup every other week just like they said. This is hardly acceptable to me. Aqua c maked decent in sump skimmers and they have excellent customer service, but this skimmer is not a good one.
