How to mesh mod a Eheim 1260?

I tried a couple rio 1700 on my 8" 29" tall skimmer and they did not work out in the recirc mode. Too much pressure for the pumps to handle with the mesh mod...

I was thinking about the Eheim 1260 now but I'm not sure if I can mod the stock pump. I know you can mod the ones form ER...

Any Ideas are welcome.
