Question for Seio pump users
I just bought 2 Seio 620s and I noticed in the directions that they recommend taking them out, taking them apart and using a brush and a water/vinegar mix to clean them....once a week!! That seems like a lot of maintenance to me. Anybody strictly follow this schedule? Haven't put them in yet but have taken one apart. Pretty nice little setups.

I clean them once a month, the get a 20 minutes vinegar wash, and a good cleaning. Never had a problem with them.

It all depends on the amount of calcium deposits you get on them or how dirty they are. I clean mine about every 2 months or so. I soak them in vineger for an hour then scrup them with a tooth brush. I give them a warm bath for about 10 minutes then in the tank they go. Just my $0.02 cents.

every couple of months is fine. Who would actually clean all their pumps once a week?

BTW- Do you like your 620's? How large of a tank do you have?
I was thinking of gettin a 620 and a 820 for my 30 mixed reef.

I clean mine once a month. Mine seems to lose some of its power if i don't clean it often. Might be my imagination but it sure seems like the flow lessens the longer its been since i clean it.
