This is my 120 that I just set up a few weeks ago. I really wanted an open look with a valley in between two islands so this is what I ended up with.

I built the stand out of 3/4" metal shaft welded to two 1/8" black iron plates. I designed the stand to be able to see the refugium and have easy access to the skimmer. In this case it was simplicity to draw attention to the tanks, not the stand. I like it. TinMan

Markieb: how do you attach the frags to the eggcrate. without removing it(eggcrate) from water?

My extra-muscular hermits are pushing out some superglued frags twice a day, and HoldFast epoxy doesn't hold underwater before curing. Troublemakers crew, not a clean-up crew.

Sorry I have to disagree with this statement. All saltwater tanks are beautiful.

Yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't get some of the set up but each is individual and very nice for it's owner and you should respect that at all times.

Just backing you up Robin!!! I like your thread.

My intent was to try a back wall of coral instead of just glass!
I dont have my rocks high in the tank! The egg crate frags were glued on the crate out of the water with super glue. The I used some plastic hangers to hang the crate on the back wall. It can be removed easily. That picture was taken days after I did it.

2 months later (today), you can barely see the egg crate material! It is more a wall of coral now! The middle piece. I did away with the left one! Thanks for asking!

bradleyj, what do you have covering the top of your tank (the 225)? It doesn't look like standard egg crate.

marino420td, that is a beautiful stand & canopy! Did you make it yourself? I love the tank, too!
