frogspawn coral

So i made rookie mistake number one and purchased a frogspawn coral today. Lucky for me its my first coral so I can place it where it cant get to others. Can I place the brach inside non-live rock? or does the coral need to be attached to live rock?

Attach anywhere with some epoxy. Why do you say frogspawn is rookie mistake? It is a good coral.
